Moving on up
Life is random sometimes. I go into the chow hall for dinner and there is Sherman Hemsly aka George Jefferson. They brought in a band to play and he sang a few songs and just hung out with the troops. I couldnt resist getting a picture just because it was too random to run into george jefferson in Dona Ana base camp. Its funny because he is a very minor celebrity but it still had a big impact on peoples morale. Well that was the highlight of my day so you can tell we are not doing a whole lot. Hope you all are doing well.

There is something so right about a picture of you with George Jefferson. Did you see Weezy? And I'd like to respond to an earlier blog where you discussed your new (old) nickname, "Shake-and-Bake." I seem to recall alot of baking but not much shaking.
Tito, don't forget John's awe inspiring 3 inch vertical jump! Did Sherman lose a bet with the USO folks?! It is nice to see you guys are easily entertained! I am going to send you some pretty marbles! Take care, and I'll talk to you next week.

I think it is great that you got to meet and greet George Jefferson - AND have a picture taken with him! Don't let these other folks make fun of you for that opportunity! Take pleasure where you can, and enjoy the small moments! (Does this sound like a mother??)

Its ok mom, I took the photo because I thought it was just very funny and random. It shows just how big a celebrity we rate out here.
