This Blog will be my attempt to give my friends and family an idea of what life is like for a soldier in Iraq. The Blog will cover from training stateside to deployment to Iraq and back home. There will be times that I will not be able to give specifics for reasons of operational security but I will try to let you in on my life as much as possible. I hope that you will find this helpful in understanding what I and thousands of other soldiers are going through on a day to day basis.
Some days are rougher then others. I wish I could make the time go by faster. My hope is that I will wake up one day and this will all be over. I hope that the one thing everyone takes from this is to not take the people in their lives for granted. I would do anything to be back home with those that I love. Hopefully tomorrows blog will be better.

Keep your chin up. Everything you are feeling is normal... I know that doesn't make it any easier, but alot of how good or bad things go will depend on your attitude. Remember you have alot of people who are proud of what you are doing. So who's my big Army man?! That's right! You are!

It's yucky all right, being away from home and those you love. No way around it, it stinks. BUT--time will go by and it will be over eventually. Hang in there!

You're allowed to have a crummy day every once in a while as you most certainly deserve it. Feel sorry for yourself, eat bad food, and just relax.

i just finished complaining about my kids behavior and my not so clean house. Man, you know how to make a guy feel ungrateful.
