Convoy Operations Team Group Photo

OK, I realize I have not blogged in a little while and there is a very simple reason. I have had nothing to say. It has been a case of same old-same old over here, which is probably a good thing for all concerned. Not much has happened that is worth mentioning.

Let me recap July here at TQ for you. When July started I had just got back from leave and was absolutely miserable. It was so good to be home and to see Marissa and Grant and it sucked to be back. After being gone for so long you get into the routine and then you go on leave and you are reminded that it sucks to be here. Then less then a week after getting back I celebrated my 3rd Birthday in a row away from home. So it took me a good 10 days to get back into the groove and not be depressed. Since then I have just been doing my thing at work and relaxing when I can.

The good news is that the end is in sight!!! We are nearing the completion of our 9th month in Theater!! Soon we will be able to start the countdown till we get to leave this place and after that it is only a few weeks of briefings and other stuff before we can come home.

Sounds like even a comment from "the mother-in-law" would be welcomed. We really enjoy the blogs, but I know we could do better keeping in touch. I sent Mike to the post office for a flat-rate box, then asked him to fill it for you when he brought it home. He asked, "With what? I'm all out of sardines!" I'll see if we can't come up with an appropriate replacement. I can understand why you and Marissa enjoyed Portland so much. We are having the time of our lives. I still feel like a tourist. Take care. We're counting the months down until you come home, soon we'll be counting the days. Kathy
